Dust & Grooves and Record Store Day are thrilled to announce the much anticipated book Dust & Grooves Vol.2: Further Adventures In Record Collecting as the Official Book of Record Store Day 2024 and reveal its cover and title.

Greetings from the Dust & Grooves HQ, be it in our humble space in Brooklyn or in a car, on the road, running around picking up the last bits of photography and interviews for Volume 2. It’s been a busy month for sure and it’s going to get busier. Lot’s of logistics, text and photo editing, all in favor of having Volume 2 book ready for print in April and launch it in October 2024.

Hello at last from the Editorial Desk! I’m Skye, a Dust & Grooves Editorial Intern and music nerd through and through. After a long hiatus while super busy with The Vinyl Nomad photo tour, we’re back with some thrilling updates.

Took the early Eurostar train from Amsterdam to London. I’ve grown to love long train rides—they give me time to think, update my journal, and focus on essential computer work for the Vinyl Nomad tour.
The Vinyl Nomad | Chapter 06: Brussels & Amsterdam
I took an early fast train to Brussels and arrived just in time to visit my old friend, DJ and collector Alex Figueira, who was preparing to sell at a vinyl market just a few blocks from his house in the city center. It was a sunny, beautiful day, like the last of summer had been sprinkled into autumn, and the city was packed with people sitting outside, enjoying their drinks or brunch.

Our Italy tour continued with an exploration of rare gems, a pioneer collector of Italian library music, a groovy collection who took us back to the 1970 and a birthday celebration! The Italy tour later found its conclusion in Milan, where we interviewed two amazing collectors and enjoyed a mean risotto.
