Now Hiring: Editorial Internship at Dust & Grooves

We’re hiring 2 more interns! Come join us in all things music and vinyl.

As our intern, you will get the opportunity to get real life experience in the publishing world, as you assist us in the production of our next book title: Dust & Grooves Volume 2. You’ll be working directly with founder and photographer Eilon Paz, our editor Noah Uman and our current super-hero intern Kait (soon to be Editorial Assistant.) While this is initially an unpaid internship, after 2 months qualifying interns will get promoted into contributing staff members, who will get paid as freelancers on specific work including interviews with our subjects – the world’s greatest record collectors.

You will be involved in:

  • Ideation: Brainstorming with Eilon and Noah about story ideas, editorial formats and the cool bands you’ve just discovered
  • Strategy building: Thinking of ways to expand the Dust & Grooves brand with reach outs and collaborations
  • Editorial tasks: Text editing, quoting, transcribing, copywriting
  • Writing and conducting interviews, and other blog content tailored to your interests
  • Social Media: Creating content from our archives (IG posts, stories, reels), photo editing, copyediting, writing and scheduling posts
  • Assist with photoshoots and interviews
  • Music research
  • Playlist and mixtape production
  • Partnerships with independent music labels

After completing this internship, you will receive credit as our Editorial Intern in the book’s masthead. You will be enriched with vast music knowledge and history from the world’s greatest record collectors. You will leave with a newfound knowledge of the publishing process and book creation. As we work closely with independent music labels, you will be introduced to and work with their teams, leading to future potential collaborations.
