Dust & Grooves: Adventures in Record Collecting, Eilon Paz’s debut 436-page coffee-table book, illuminates over 130 vinyl collectors and their collections in the most intimate of environments-their record rooms. With a foreword by the RZA, compelling photographic essays are paired with in-depth interviews to illustrate what motivates record collectors to keep digging for more records.
Readers get an up close and personal look at a variety of well-known vinyl champions as well as a glimpse into the collections of known and unknown DJs, producers, record dealers, and everyday enthusiasts. The book is divided into two main parts: the first features 250 full-page photos framed by captions and select quotes, while the second consists of 13 full-length interviews that delve deeper into collectors’ personal histories and vinyl troves.
Includes interviews with Questlove, Gilles Peterson, Kieran Hebden (Four Tet), The Gaslamp Killer, Rich Medina, Egon and more.
10th Anniversary edition features a brand new cover, back cover and matching spine to Dust & Grooves Volume 2. Only available in this box set.

I just received Volume 1 & 2 – the Deluxe Edition Limited Box Set in the mail. This is truly amazing work. Really high quality! Upon unboxing this and looking through both of the Volumes.. it has far exceed and went above and beyond my initial expectations… really excellent, high quality photography work accompanied with great in depth articles from a wide variety of vinyl collectors… Dust & Grooves did not cut any corners here with these two Volumes…they really went all out. I am super impressed! As well, the 2 Volumes are housed in a really nice, super sturdy slipcase too. All around excellent quality. Highly recommended.

I am a devoted record collector (since 1981) and a professional artist/photographer too, and I’ve seen lots of projects on record collectors, however the images in Dust & Grooves are far and away the best I’ve seen. Imaginative compositions, regular change up of approach page-to-page, wonderful bunch of people and their collections, and a totally fascinating and pleasurable view! Hats off!

Wow and wow again!! My copy arrived yesterday and was I blown away by the detail of the packaging, the slip case and both volumes.
I’m a 69 year old Landscape Architect, audio enthusiast, retired DJ and drummer and have been collecting vinyl since my 12th birthday in 1967 (The Doors/Strange Days). I’ve amassed a collection of about 8,700 LPs since then and that’s the reason we’ll never be able to move.
What I have in front of me is clearly the result of pure devotion and attention to detail. I could smell the quality of the ink as I cracked the 1st Volume. Eilon, your beautifully written introduction and The RZA’s forward really set the tone for the inspired and personal interviews and photo essays.
I see that Volume 2 has a large section on Jazz Kissa. Looking forward to diving deep this weekend. Thank you so much for seeing this incredible project through from conception to fantastic realization.

I purchased the first volume of “Dust and Grooves”’a while ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Being an avid record collector myself the book truly resonated. When I saw the second volume and then the boxed set available, I had to own them and gifted my original volume one to a close friend who is as addicted to the medium as I am.
I now have both volumes on my coffee table in my listening room in Southborough Ma, and my friend Jason now has volume one on his coffee table in Chatham, Ma.
Just lovely books, thank you for authoring and publishing them.
